The Town of Madbury seeks a part-time Road Agent to oversee all aspects of the maintenance and physical safety of the Town’s roads. This is a senior position requiring management and hands on skills and knowledge.
Core duties include (1) planning, supervising, and coordinating the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of Town roads, bridges, and drainage systems; (2) overseeing Town’s snow and ice removal operations; and (3) developing, recommending, and executing budgets.
Successful candidate will have any combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge of (1) road and bridge maintenance / construction, (2) snow removal operations, (3) budgeting and capital improvement planning, and (4) planning / coordinating the work of others including private contractors.
Position requires the ability to work in both office and field settings, under adverse weather conditions, and to respond to after-hours and emergency issues as needed.
Salary is dependent on Qualifications and Experience
